KUALA LUMPUR: Two of four parang-wielding robbers were nabbed by police minutes after they robbed a family of three in their Taman Kepong home.The men, aged from 25 to 35, had entered the house at around 2.15pm on the pretext of looking for someone but robbed the family of their jewellery and handphones.
They made their getaway in the family’s Nissan Sentra.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Zakaria Pagan said the robbers were spotted by the police along Jalan Kuching and despite being ordered to stop, they sped off.
The police gave chase and fired a warning shot and when it was ignored, they fired three more shots towards the speeding car which forced the robbers to stop.
“The police then nabbed two of the four robbers,” said ACP Zakaria. - Source
