BENTONG: A teenager was slashed on his head when he tried to shield his mother from three parang-wielding robbers.
In the 3am incident at their house in Kampung Lebu here on Tuesday, the 18-year-old had rushed to his mother's aid on hearing screams coming from her bedroom.
He tried to attack the robbers but was slashed by of them.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Fakri Che Sulaiman said the men escaped with valuables worth about RM5,000.
The youngster was rushed to Bentong Hospital where he required 30 stitches for his wound.
Mohd Fakri said police had picked up 10 suspects to facilitate investigations. - Source
