SEREMBAN: Quick action by police averted what could have been an ugly clash between two groups of foreigners armed with parang and other sharp objects.
The foreigners had gathered in the heart of town about 2pm yesterday for a confrontation.
Acting Seremban district police chief Superintendent Azmi Abu Kassim said police received a call informing them that a group of foreign men had gathered in town and an argument had ensued.
"We were told that some of them were armed with sharp objects, including parang.
"As soon as we got the call, a team of policemen rushed to the scene. The group dispersed when they heard the sirens," he said, adding that although no arrests had been made so far, police were investigating the incident. - Sumber
