In the 6pm incident on Thursday, the victim went to the suspect's house in Kampung Atas Tol to discuss the change of ownership of the motorcycle which the former had bought from the latter in January.
An argument ensued and the suspect ran into his bedroom and came out swinging a parang at the victim.
State deputy CID chief Supt K. Manoharan said the suspect slashed the victim's arms, back and waist, before several neighbours stepped in and stopped the fight.
He said the victim received outpatient treatment at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital and lodged a report at the Chabang Tiga police station the following day.
